Counters use shared storage across readers. Website visits and page views are counted once per browser tab session, after four visible seconds. Story, section, and image views require four seconds on screen. Video plays and download link clicks are separate events. Repeat events for the same item in the same session are counted once.

These are engagement counts, not unique people, completed downloads, verified human visitors, or advertising impressions. Common automated user agents are excluded, but some automated traffic may remain.

Existing story totals began October 16, 2026. Website, page, and expanded media tracking began with the October 17, 2026 update. No historical traffic has been invented.

A random session identifier is stored in the browser’s session storage and recorded with an item identifier and timestamp. The counter does not store names, email addresses, IP addresses, medical information, or cross-site advertising identifiers. Hosting infrastructure may maintain its own operational logs.

If counters are unavailable, the page reports that condition instead of displaying a fabricated total. Questions: timberlaneranchstudio@gmail.com.
