“Great Vibes” — Meet Lori T.

During her 29-day hospital stay in the Taubman building at the University of Michigan, Lori put up lights and brought a little warmth, personality, and fun into her room.

When her surgeon returned for a follow-up visit to check the healing of her port-removal site, he noticed the atmosphere she had created.

“Great vibes,” he told her.

Even through a difficult stay, Lori found ways to brighten the room for herself and the people who visited.

Healing, good care, and a little laughter

For our family, good healthcare should also make room for fun and light humor. Alongside the care Lori received, the lights, familiar company, and playful moments helped her room feel more like her own space.

A smile, a familiar face, and a little silliness belonged in the room too. Those moments were part of the good vibes we wanted to remember.
